Hidden Stitch Supply Sizing guide

Find your fit.

The best reference is already
in your wardrobe.

Take a similar piece of clothing you already own that fits the way you like. Measure it laid flat, then compare those measurements with the product's size chart. This gives you a much better reference than comparing the chart with your body measurements or relying on a size name alone.

Our website sizes are standardised to US sizing.

Before you measure

  1. 01
    Lay it flat

Choose a similar garment that already fits the way you like.

  2. 02
    Fasten it up

Close the buttons or zip and smooth out any folds.

  3. 03
    Let it relax

Keep the fabric flat without pulling or stretching it.

Why measurements matter

Sizing when buying garments from China can be hit or miss. Sometimes it feels right. Other times, you order your usual size and receive something that feels far too small. The label alone is not enough when buying from Chinese brands or suppliers.

At Hidden Stitch Supply, all customer-facing sizes are standardised to US sizing, which should be familiar to most Western customers. The actual garment dimensions have also been measured so you can compare the clothing itself rather than relying only on the label.

The label inside the garment

The size label sewn into your garment may sometimes be different from the size you ordered. This is because the original supplier sizing can differ significantly from familiar Western sizing. Your order uses the standardised US size shown on the Hidden Stitch Supply product page; the sewn-in label may still show the supplier's original size.

03 A familiar reference

Seeing the clothes on me

I’ll do my best to model every garment on the site myself. I’m just a regular bloke who could probably get to the gym a bit more often, so don’t expect the polished product shoots you’ll see from the bigger brands. What I hope to give you is a useful idea of how these clothes sit, hang and fit on someone my size.

My measurements

  • Height: 173 cm / 5 ft 8 in
  • Weight: approximately 73 kg / 161 lb
  • Chest: 98 cm / 38.6 in
  • Waist: 82 cm / 32.3 in

My usual sleeve length is 58 cm / 22.8 in. Together with the size I’m wearing in the photos, these details should help you judge the proportions and picture how the garment might look on you.
