New at Hidden Stitch Supply: hickory stripes and raw denim

Hi, Mark here.

Two pieces have joined Hidden Stitch Supply since my last update: a hickory stripe cotton work shirt and a pair of 13.2 oz raw selvedge jeans, both from OKONKWO.

Here's a quick look at the fabric, useful details and fit of each.

OKONKWO hickory stripe work shirt

The OKONKWO hickory stripe work shirt has blue and off-white stripes running down the cotton fabric. Cream buttons and contrast stitching stand out against the stripes.

Two buttoned chest pockets keep small items close to hand. It has a pointed collar, button cuffs and a curved hem. Wear it buttoned as a shirt or open over a plain T-shirt, with jeans, chinos or fatigue pants.

Allow room through the chest and shoulders if you want to wear a layer underneath. The website's US sizes match the sewn labels, so S (US) has S on the garment. Check the shirt's size guide for the chest, shoulder, sleeve and body measurements.

OKONKWO 13.2 oz raw selvedge straight jeans

The OKONKWO raw selvedge straight jeans use 13.2 oz (approximately 448 gsm), 100% cotton denim. The dark indigo fabric has a redline selvedge: a finished woven edge with a red stripe, visible when you turn up the cuffs.

They sit fairly high on the waist, with a full straight leg that keeps its width towards the hem. A YKK zip fly, embroidered back pockets and a leather waistband patch finish the five-pocket design.

The denim is sanforised, meaning it has been treated to reduce shrinkage. Choose a size that fits comfortably from new. Website waist sizes run from W28 to W38, while the sewn labels run from XS to XXL. The jeans size guide shows how those labels match up, alongside the garment measurements.

Finding your size

Compare the size guides with a shirt or pair of jeans that already fits you well. For the shirt, allow for any layers you plan to wear underneath. For the jeans, check the waist, rise and leg length as well as the size label.

If you're unsure, get in touch and I'll help you compare the measurements.

Thanks for following along as the shop grows.
